Today's Word: "Overcome darkness with the help of the Holy Spirit."
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.” Genesis 1:2 nkjv
TODAY’S WORD
There are two presupposed theories to why the earth was without form, one being destructive work of Satan, somewhat represented by the darkness was on the face of the deep, also one being where there is a gap between genesis 1:1 and 1:2, takes many years to complete. There is still debate on how creation took place between the bible scholars. But, I tend to believe that God created the earth as mature like how he created Adam. Today, the scripture clears demonstrate how the Spirit of God was working for the great plan to be complete, going against the force of darkness, Satan.
Today, remember, you need to understand that there is a battle between good and evil ever since the beginning as you could be able to tell from today’s word. But, you need to understand the victory that is in God through the work of creation. So, you need to be ready to do God’s work and ready to declare victory in the work that God is doing in your life. You can not let darkness consume you. You have to fight with the help of the Holy Spirit. God’s plan for victory is declared by working together in unison against the plan of evil.
Overcome darkness with the help of the Holy Spirit.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, we thank you so much for your protection from the evil one. Thank you for letting us know that you are with us every time when we are faced with trials. We will overcome it, because we know that the Holy Spirit is working. We will put our trust in you always. Thank you and pray in Jesus’s Name. Amen.
