Today's Word: "Be responsible for your work, do your best."

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

"Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we are each responsible for our own conduct." Galatians 6:4-5 NLT

TODAY’S WORD

Sometimes, we compare ourself too much with others where we don't do well with what we need to do.  This is true for the workplace and also in the ministry as well.  From early on from childhood, we are always comparing with others.  If we don't do better than others, we are put down by our parents.  But, today's word reminds us that you are responsible for your own work.

Today, remember, you are to focus on your work, not looking around to do better than others.  Focus at work, do your best to do what you are instructed to do.  In ministry, focus on the task that God has instructed for you to do.  Do not compare yourself with others.  This will lead to downfall.  If you want to compare, compare with what Jesus has done in your life and what you should do more for him.

Be responsible for your work, do your best.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father God, I will focus on what I am doing. I will not compare myself with others. I will do my best. Pray in Jesus' name.
