Today's Word: "Sinful Nature"

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

"The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions." Galatians 5:17

TODAY’S WORD

We are no longer bound by the sin. But, we are fighting the sinful nature within, where Holy Spirit helps us to overcome.  The wage of sin is death, and Jesus's death on the cross has been paid. But, as we live in this fallen world, we are protected and God's provision shows through the work of the Holy Spirit.

Today, remember, do not be afraid of sinful nature that wants you to make you do evil.  Because, the Holy Spirit lives in you and he has control and he will give you strength.  Do not let the whisper of the devil determine and direct your life.  Let your life be directed by the Holy Spirit.

Conquer the sinful nature by trusting in the Spirit.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father God, I know I am freed from the bondage of sin. But, I know I live in a fallen world where the spiritual battle are at hand. I am going to continue to trust in you and the work of the Holy Spirit in my life. I will and live in victory in Jesus. Pray in Jesus' name.
