Today's Word: "Don't give into the pressure of the group"
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
"Now when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was to be blamed; for before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy." Galatians 2:11-13 nkjv
TODAY’S WORD
The Apostle Paul rebukes the Apostle Peter's action of caving into the pressure of the group. We all could fall into this situation. We sometimes do not have the strength to over the pressure of the group and end up doing that we regret. Paul is very clear that we need to submit to God's way, not lose the pressure of the group or the world.
Today, remember, you will face challenges if you are trying to God's work right way. Why? Because it is always the case, there will be always resistance from people as you try to be a true witness for him. In the case of Peter, he dines with Gentiles conviction from God. But, he cave into the pressure of the situation and cause all the followers to fall with him as well by separating himself from the Gentiles.
Resist the voice of majority if it goes against God's word.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, please provide me the strength to overcome the pressure of the group or this world. Pray in Jesus' name.
